Information Technology Department Mission Statement:  

Our mission is to support Charles City Public Schools' improvement efforts through the use of technology. The Charles City Information Technology Department provides technological training, guidance, service and information to school personnel and school administrators. This enables Charles City Public Schools to function more efficiently and assists individual schools as they use technology to improve the teaching and learning process for their students.

 

The Goals of the Technology Department:  

1.   Integration - To improve teaching and learning through the appropriate use of technology.

2.   Professional Development - To deliver effective technology training to assist educators as they help students achieve high academic standards.

3.   Connectivity - To ensure that all Charles City schools have access to integrated instructional and administrative services across high-speed networks.

4.   Educational Applications - To improve teaching and learning through the appropriate use of network-accessible educational applications.

5.   Accountability - To provide appropriate decision support capabilities for all stakeholders.

6.   Internet Safety - To provide Internet security and protect students' safety.
